Patients are requested to telephone the practice on 01663 745266 before 10:30 if a visit is required that day.

We generally do home visits between the hours of 13:00 – 14:30.

These visits are intended only for those patients who are frail, housebound or who are genuinely too ill to attend surgery.

Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to home visits.

The doctor strives to make the most appropriate decision at the time which might not necessarily include a visit at home.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability and are within the area of New Mills and vicinity.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.

There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
